Filed under rantsAs I walked to dinner today, I noticed a few Unite UMD party members crowding the doors to the diner. As I wiggled my way through they asked me if I'd take their flier. I noticed the candy attached to it--it was a nice touch--or it would be if college kids could be bribed with candy. I thought it was splendid that they apply the same logic they apply to 4 year olds to me.
I made my ultimatum: "Sorry, I don't vote for parties that annoy me." They did a double take and asked me what I said. So I repeated that "I don't vote for people who annoy me. Perhaps you should add that to your platform. It's an important issue."
I hope I'm not being unreasonable when I ask these people to leave me alone. Bothering potential voters when they obviously have something else on their mind (food) is silly.

A nitpick: I did have food on my mind, but I do suppose they were providing some. Sadly it wasn't what I wanted.
